Spare Time Texas is proud to introduce our team member of the month: Nicole Gentry! Nicole has played a significant role in our team, a true bench strength, from slinging craft cocktails to helping out wherever she is needed. For the past 3 years, she has shown dedication and leadership through leading by example and always lending a helping hand.

We so badly miss all of our valued guests, and we are excited to re-open our centers in Temple and Pflugerville this Friday (May 22) after more than 2 months of closure to combat the spread of COVID-19.

It is with great sadness, but with even greater concern for the safety of our guests and team members that we are closing our centers at 7 pm today (March 17). We are not yet sure when we will re-open, but we do know that we will remain closed through at least March 31st. While we will keep a small group of our team members working during these closures, regretfully we are forced to temporarily furlough most of our hard-working staff.

Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our community. The top priority at Spare Time Texas is the safety and well-being of our guests and team members. Regardless of the environment, this is our top priority every day.

Kamil Thompson has been a part of the Spare Time Texas family since Pflugerville’s opening day, December 7, 2015. She began as a Party Host and has advanced into the Sales department as an Event Coordinator. Her dedication and leadership qualities have helped her to become a great role model for other team members and a positive representation of Spare Time.

Spare Time Texas is proud to announce the opening of an outdoor addition to our Temple location. The expansion, dubbed Shakers Backyard will include go-karts, a ropes course, batting cages, yard games, sand volleyball courts, and an outdoor bar + grill with covered event space. The addition is anticipated to open late summer 2020.

Greg Fears, one of our newest league bowlers, is grabbing the attention of the team members here at Spare Time Texas! His near-perfect form makes him a force to be reckoned with! We caught up with Greg while practicing in The Pin House.

Felize G. is our newest featured team member! Felize joined the Spare Time Texas family in February of this year and is one of our amazing Party Hosts! She is always positive and smiling and brightens up everyone’s day when she is on shift.

Meet Jared James a relatively new member to our team in Temple. Jared began with us in February 2019 as a Game Room Attendant and now also helps us as a Guest Service Representative and Facilities Technician. He’s a bit of a perfectionist but does his absolute best to keep a smile on his face and give his guests a great experience.

Here at Spare Time Texas, we hosted another successful “Taste of Spain” drink-pairing dinner at our Pflugerville location. This event was one of many drink-pairing dinners that are hosted throughout the year. We had a total of 34 foodies present for this event. Guests included couples, close friends, and family. The bustling event room took you straight to the heart of Spain, with jazzy Spanish music playing overhead.
